Timur Mutsurayev (Тимур Муцураев), born on July 25, 1976, in Grozny, Chechenya, is a Chechen singer-songwriter and bard known for his music reflecting the Chechen conflicts and anti-Russian themes. He primarily performed in Russian, with some songs in Chechen. His active years in music spanned from 1991 to 2008.

Mutsurayev’s music is deeply intertwined with the Chechen conflicts and anti-Russian themes. His debut album, “Welcome to Hell” (1995), was recorded during the First Chechen War. Subsequent albums, such as “Gelaevsky Special Forces” (1996) and “Paradise Under the Shadow of Sabers” (1997), continued to explore themes of war, resistance, and faith. His most famous song, “Jerusalem,” gained airplay during the 1999-2000 Battle of Grozny and appears in the movie “War” by Aleksei Balabanov.
