The Narvik Shield was a German military campaign award from WWII, instituted to recognize soldiers who participated in the battle for Narvik, Norway, in 1940.

Eligibility: Members of the Kriegsmarine (Navy), Luftwaffe (Air Force), and Heer (Army) who took part in the Narvik operations.
Design:
The shield features the word “Narvik“ at the top.
An anchor (representing the Kriegsmarine),
A propeller (representing the Luftwaffe),
An edelweiss flower (representing the Gebirgsjäger, the mountain troops).
Often, an eagle with outstretched wings appears above the shield.
