The «Sturmkampfgewehr» PVC patch #wehrmacht The Sturmkampfgewehr (StKG) — literally “Assault Battle Rifle” in German — was an experimental German weapon developed during the final phase of WWII. Despite its name, it was not a conventional rifle, but more accurately a grenade launcher or single-shot shoulder-fired weapon, built for infantry use against fortified positions or armored vehicles. Development & Use The weapon was part of a late-war German initiative to arm Volkssturm (people’s militia) or line infantry with cheap, easy-to-manufacture anti-tank solutions.
